In this section of our website, you will find a series of stories from people who have shared their lived experience of epilepsy.
Many of the people featured have shared their stories as part of campaigns such as International Epilepsy Day and National Epilepsy Week - or at other points throughout the year! Remember, every day is an epilepsy awareness day for Epilepsy Ireland so we're always looking for stories about the lived experience of epilepsy. If you are interested in sharing your story, visit the the 'Become a Media Volunteer' page on our website to learn more.
Everyone who has shared their story has done so to help raise awareness of epilepsy - and to help others living with the condition know that they are not alone. The stories highlight the individual nature of epilepsy and the individual challenges that the condition can bring. The stories in this section are from people from all ages from right across Ireland, living with different types of epilepsy. There is a special sub-menu with stories that have been shared through video, with another sub-menu specifically featuring stories from parents/family members/carers about their lived experience of epilepsy.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences with us, in order to help others learn and support others living with epilepsy on their journey with the condition.
