Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Ireland Conference 1.11.25

On Saturday 1st November, our colleagues in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Ireland will be hosting their conference for people who live with tuberous sclerosis, their carers and families at Trinity College Dublin. 

Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is a rare genetic condition which affects 1 in 6000 people. According to Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Ireland, there are an estimated 500-600 people with TSC in Ireland. It causes tumours or growths in the organs including the brain, eyes, kidney, lungs, skin, teeth and heart. Epilepsy is the most common medical problem in TSC affecting 90% of cases.

Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Ireland is dedicated to providing information and support those affected by the condition and raising awareness about tuberous sclerosis. Epilepsy Ireland work closely with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Ireland on several shared goals and through our services, support many people living with Tuberous Sclerosis, as well as their families.
