A part of the build up to #EpilepsyDay 2026 our colleagues in the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) have once again launched submissions for their virtual art exhibition to mark the big day.
Through the years of this exhibition, there has been incredible submissions from people with epilepsy in Ireland and we wanted to share details of this year’s exhibition to give people living with epilepsy an opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is ‘The Art of Possibility’ and the IBE are accepting various forms of art, including painting, photography, textile, and mixed media.
This year’s theme invites people to create an artwork that represents possibility.
For example, your artwork could represent the possibility for:
- Understanding
- Connection
- Dignity
- Myth-breaking
- Compassion
- A world where people with epilepsy are seen fully
If you would like to make a submission, please visit the IBE google form via the button below. It also includes further information on the virtual art exhibition. Please note the deadline for submission is 31st January 2026.
