We are delighted to confirm that we have received sponsorship support from UCB Pharma to help continue to raise awareness of seizure first aid and our key words of TIME, SAFE, STAY amongst the Irish public.
Since 2021, Epilepsy Ireland have been promoting these three key words as the key steps the public needs to remember when responding to a seizure. But what do we mean by TIME, SAFE, STAY?
- TIME the seizure
- Keep the person SAFE
- STAY with them
You can learn about these three key words in greater detail – and download our seizure first aid posters – by visiting the ‘Seizure First Aid’ section of our website.
The sponsorship received from UCB Pharma has enabled us to reissue key materials from our International Epilepsy Day campaign earlier this year, highlighting the importance of TIME, SAFE, STAY.
Thanks to UCB’s support, we have secured advertising placements on Virgin Media TV and Video on Demand (the ads that play before catching up on your favourite shows) as well as on Digital Audio platforms, including podcasts, music streaming services, and digital radio.
You can watch and listen to both ads below – and we hope they’ll also catch your attention soon while you’re streaming your favourite shows or podcasts!

These ads will run throughout the final weeks of November and all of December. We’re delighted to have another opportunity to share the vital TIME, SAFE, STAY message with a wider audience before the end of the year, and we are very grateful to UCB for making this possible.
UCB are also supporting an additional initiative we’ll be launching before year-end. More details to follow soon!
We would encourage everyone reading to please learn more about TIME, SAFE, STAY by visiting the ‘Seizure First Aid’ section of our website – and please share with your family, friends, colleagues and teammates to ensure they know this important message as well!
If you need any support or information around your or your family member’s journey with epilepsy, do not hesitate to get in touch with your local Community Resource Officer. You can find their details by visiting the 'Our Local Services' section of our website.
