Purple Day ® 2022

Epilepsy Ireland logo in white with Purple BackgroundPurple Day® takes place on March 26th and is Epilepsy Ireland’s flagship fundraising event of the year! We all know how difficult the last two years have been and our fundraised income has been severely affected because of the restrictions with COVID-19.

However, thanks to the unrivalled support of our members, volunteers & supporters throughout these past two years, we have been able to continue on our journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.

With restrictions now eased, this year’s Purple Day® finally presents an opportunity for community fundraising to return and we are appealing for your support. We have listed some of the ways you can support below.

At the link below, please give whatever you can to help continue our vitals services for people with epilepsy and their families. Our Community Resource Officers are there to support people and families through every step of their journey with epilepsy. Alongside this, we also educate the public about the condition through awareness campaigns such as International Epilepsy Day while we also advocate to make positive policy changes that will impact on the day to day lives of people with epilepsy and their families – such as our ongoing campaigns around access to Free Travel, Reasonable Accommodations during State Exams and the establishment of an inquiry regarding Sodium Valproate (Epilim). From our latest set of accounts from 2020, of every €1 donated to our work, .88c is spent on direct charitable activities. Please donate as part of our Purple Day ® campaign and help us continue this work and much more on the behalf of the 40,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland today.
