From our years of serving the epilepsy community, we know how the condition has its own unique challenges for the individuals living with it. Not only is epilepsy individual, but the journeys that people experience can differ in many ways.
As a person progresses on their journey with epilepsy, they learn more about the condition and can unfortunately experience barriers owing to their condition. As a person navigates these barriers, what can be beneficial is hearing from others who may be in a similar situation or who may have direct experience of what a person may be going through.
This is why we offer Online Meet Ups for adults living with epilepsy across Ireland. These Meet Ups allow people living with the condition to discuss their experiences with epilepsy in a safe and secure environment, alongside others who may have direct experience of what they may be going through – and who may potentially be able to offer their own insights and advice on how they navigated certain challenges or experiences.
In addition, they also also allows people to meet with others who are living with epilepsy and form connections as they continue their journey with the condition. Members of the Epilepsy Ireland Community Resource Officer team will also be in attendance to offer further information and support around epilepsy to all those joining.
If you are an adult living with epilepsy and are interested in attending our Online Meet Up, you can see how to register below.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event and to introducing you to others living with epilepsy from across Ireland.

Adults with epilepsy who wish to attend this meet up must have previously engaged with their local Community Resource Officer. It is important that there has been previous engagement in order for us to best facilitate the experience for all attending the meet up. At particular points in your journey with epilepsy, individual direct support from our team may be more appropriate rather than a group setting. To make initial contact with your local Community Resource Officer, visit the ‘Our Local Services’ section of our website.
