National Epilepsy Week takes place next week and for the week, we will be highlighting key advocacy issues which are facing people with epilepsy and their families.

Epilepsy Ireland have been in contact with TD's and Senators highlighting some of these issues and asking that they #AdvocateForEpilepsy. The issues we have identified are as follows are outlined in the 'Advocacy' section of our website.

We are more than aware that these are not the only issues which are facing people with epilepsy and their families and we would encourage our members and supporters to use the week to contact your local representatives to raise issues that are impacting on you which may be not be outlined above.

However, we would greatly appreciate any support which you may be able to give to us on the above. Please share details of these issues on your social media to make the public further aware that these are issues which are facing people with epilepsy and their families. Additionally, if you have personal experience of any of the above, we would encourage you to please share same with your local TD and/or Senator to encourage action on these matters.

We have included a draft email attached to this article below which you can amend accordingly or download.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope that the week will see TD's and Senators #AdvocateForEpilepsy to seek action on all the issues we have identified and the many more which are impacting on people with epilepsy and their families.
