We have published our Annual Report for 2025 which provides a detailed overview of how we worked on each of our strategic aims across the past year as we continued our journey towards a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy.
2025 was a year which saw many significant developments for our organisation. We launched our 9th research call under the Health Research Board – Health Research Charities Ireland (HRB-HRCI) Joint Funding Scheme and when the process completes later this year, we hope to be adding to the €1.5 million we have already invested in Irish epilepsy research. We also formally established the Louise Young Seizure Alarm fund – an initiative which allows specialist clinicians to refer people living with epilepsy for the reimbursement of full costs for two specific seizure detection devices (you can learn more about the fund by visiting the ‘Our Local Services’ section of our website). Awareness initiatives also continued across the year, with continued efforts to enhance knowledge of seizure first aid and our key words of TIME, SAFE, STAY.
Alongside the above and much more, there was also strong demand for the vital support services offered by our dedicated team of Community Resource Officer – alongside our Youth Resource Officer and National Information Officer – with just under 22,000 contacts recorded with our services.
This work and much more alongside it would not have been possible without the incredible individual, group and community-based fundraising efforts taking place in support of our work across the year – some of which you will read about in our report.

With the report published, we would like to thank everyone who supported our work in any way across 2025. We hope you will continue to be with us as we continue our journey towards a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy in the years ahead.
