We are delighted to confirm that Epilepsy Ireland has been one of the 147 organisations to benefit from the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal.

Last year, the appeal raised just under €4m and today, the Community Foundation of Ireland have announced the grant allocations from the funds raised.

Funding of €26,000 has been allocated to Epilepsy Ireland, with the funds to be used for the development and delivery of tailored supports & programmes for children living with epilepsy. There are over 10,000 children living with epilepsy in Ireland today.

Overall, the grants awarded today are expected to benefit an estimated 1.2 million children across the island of Ireland, and we are delighted that the importance of supporting children with epilepsy has been recognised within these awards.

We would like to thank the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal and the Community Foundation of Ireland for their support; and of course, we would like to thank the Irish public for their generous support of the appeal.

We look forward to investing this new funding to further support children with epilepsy and their families on their journeys with epilepsy. Together, we can achieve a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.
