With International Epilepsy Day fast approaching, we are delighted to confirm that we have received sponsorship support from Jazz Pharmaceuticals to help amplify the key message of our campaign amongst the Irish public.
Funding has been provided by Jazz through a hands-off unrestricted grant to help fund the production of our campaign materials for International Epilepsy Day; Jazz have had no involvement or input into any of the content of the campaign, which will be executed solely by Epilepsy Ireland.
This year, our campaign has created a new seizure first aid song which will hopefully increase public knowledge of seizure first aid and our key words of TIME, SAFE, STAY. We believe this is a vital public health message for the wider public to know, given over 45,000 people live with epilepsy in Ireland today. Knowing how to respond correctly to a seizure is a potentially life-saving intervention, and we hope our new campaign will help increase the public’s awareness of this important message.
Jazz’s sponsorship has helped us secure longer paid advertising placements on channels such as Spotify and Today FM – where we hope to reach a large proportion of the Irish public with our new song - designed to stick in your head!
As we continue to tune up and officially release our campaign, we would like to thank Jazz for their support for this year’s #EpilepsyDay campaign.
You do not have to wait until the day itself to help promote seizure first aid and TIME, SAFE, STAY either. Visit the ‘Seizure First Aid’ section of our website and share this page with friends, family, colleagues and teammates on social media, at work or within the many WhatsApp groups that we all now have and encourage them to read more and to download our posters.
As always, should you need any information or support about epilepsy, please do not hesitate to contact your local Community Resource Officer. You can find their details by visiting the ‘Our Local Service’ page on our website.
TIME, SAFE, STAY - The song - coming soon!
