Epilepsy Ireland have published our Annual Report for 2022.

The report outlines our activities throughout 2022 and how we continued our work towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.

The report is the first to be published under the key aims set out by our new Strategic Plan 2022-2026 and outlines some of our work under these aims, which are set out below:

  • Empowering people with epilepsy through support and education
  • Centring people with epilepsy and their families in the work of Epilepsy Ireland
  • Working collaboratively to improve the care of people with epilepsy and knowledge of the condition
  • Transforming perceptions of epilepsy and public policy relevant to the condition
  • Increasing and diversifying our income
  • Demonstrating the highest standards of governance and ensure the structures are in place to meet objectives

The report outlines the strong demand for our services in 2022– with our team responding to almost 20,000 contacts and hosting over 120 events; while it was also a watershed year for our investment in Irish epilepsy research, with five new projects supported in 2022.

The report also highlights the incredible support of our members, supporters and volunteers who have and continue to be at the forefront of our work in terms of awareness and fundraising. Without this support, much of the work and achievements outlined in this report would not have been possible.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the work of Epilepsy Ireland throughout 2022, and we hope that you will continue to support us in the years to come.

Together, we can achieve a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.

The report can be downloaded and read by visiting the ‘Governance’ section of our website.
