If you are a person living with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) or caring for a person with TSC, PHD Researcher at Trinity College Dublin, Mary Vasseghi, would like to hear from you.

As part of her PHD research, Mary is seeking to learn more about the lived experiences of people with TSC in Ireland – both in terms of living with the condition and in terms of their healthcare needs.

TSC causes cells to start growing too quickly resulting in non-cancerous tumours forming in the body. Many of those living with TSC can go on to develop epilepsy because of this rare condition.

Mary is passionate about learning more about TSC – and has a direct personal connection as her daughter has lived with TSC for over 30 years.

If you or your child is living with TSC – or if you know someone living with TSC – and would like to help with this important research by sharing your experiences, please email Mary on vasseghm@tcd.ie or by calling Mary on 0870665933 to find out more.

For more information about TSC, visit the TSC Ireland website.

Participation is completely voluntary for adults and children (with parental consent). They will self-refer for this study, be provided with detailed information about the study and sign an explicit consent form.  Information gathering will involve a one-to-one interview lasting approximately one hour at a place of the participants choosing. Further information on all of this will be provided by Mary when a person reaches out via the email above.
