The 45 for Epilepsy Challenge is an annual fundraising campaign run by Epilepsy Ireland which aims to raise awareness of the 45,000 people who live with epilepsy in Ireland and to raise funds for the vital services we provide for people with epilepsy, their families and the wider community across Ireland.
The goal of the 45 for Epilepsy Challenge is simple - to walk or run 45km over the course of one week (22nd to the 28th of
September) in recognition of the 45,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland and to raise the vital funds needed to continue our journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.
The challenge first began in 2023, and in every year since, we have had incredible supporters take on the 45 for Epilepsy Challenge!
All the funds raised by challenge participants has helped continue our journey towards a society where no person’s by epilepsy by supporting our:
- Support and Information services
- Training and Education programmes
- Awareness and Advocacy campaigns
- Investment in Irish epilepsy research
