The 45 for Epilepsy Challenge

Woman and man running with 45 for 45 logo

The 45 for Epilepsy Challenge is back! This marks the third year of the challenge, which has so far raised over €30,000 in support of our work!

The goal of the 45 for Epilepsy Challenge is simple - to walk or run 45km over the course of one week (22nd to the 28th of
September) in recognition of the 45,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland and to raise the vital funds needed to continue our journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.

On registration, participants will get a fundraising page automatically created for them and you can take part as an individual
or a team. You will be sent a fundraising pack and can be sponsored by families, friends, and colleagues with every euro raised helping to support our:

  • Support and Information services
  • Training and Education programmes
  • Awareness and Advocacy campaigns
  • Investment in Irish epilepsy research

You can cover the distance however you like, whether you take it 5k a day with an extra-long walk on Sat & Sun or you might prefer to get it all done in one fell swoop and kick your feet up for the rest of the week! Whatever way you want to do it is up
to you, but we are appealing for you to do it – as this year, we are aiming for a BIG target.

Last year’s event raised over €21,000 and this year we want to raise over €45,000 – a euro for every person living with epilepsy in
Ireland.
