Protecting your child from danger during a seizure can be a worry for many parents.

To mark the 2nd annual European Epilepsy Day today, Brainwave - The Irish Epilepsy Association has announced results of a survey conducted amongst 464 people with epilepsy on their experience of stigma.

A free event is being run by Get AHEAD for graduates with disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties on Nov 11th at the Bank of Ireland Learning Zone, 1 Grand Canal Quay, Dublin.

Brainwave is delighted to announce that the first Hospital Outreach Service in Kilkenny will be held on Tuesday October 4th.

Brainwave and three other charities come together to produce information pack and DVD for schools.

This poster is being used as reminder to MEPs to sign the EU Written Declaration on Epilepsy during the plenary sessions in Strasbourg. The declaration books will be open for signatures again from the 4th - 7th July, Brainwave will update its site with details of the progress made.

The friends and family of the late Jason Brennan are organising a benefit night in Jason's memory on Saturday 11 June at the Derby House Hotel, Kildare.

Following on from Brainwvae's European Epilepsy Day radio advertising campaign, a new TV has been produced and will run on Setanta from February to April 2011.

European Epilepsy Day was officially launched at the European Parliament, Strasbourg on February 14th. Representatives of 26 epilepsy organisations including Brainwave, came together to raise awareness among European politicians.
