July 22nd marks World Brain Day and we are joining with our colleagues in the Neurological Alliance of Ireland to raise awareness of neurological conditions in Ireland.
The theme for this year's awareness day centres around COVID-19 and how this has impacted on people who are living with neurological conditions in Ireland; while also highlighting how Epilepsy Ireland and other members of the NAI have adapted their service.
As part of this, we are asking you to share your experience of what it is like to live with a neurological condition during this pandemic by sharing your experience through the hashtag #ONEWORDFORCOVID.
Furthermore, the day will also focus on the work of neurological charities throughout this period and the impact the loss in fundraising activities. As we have previously stated, we are forecasting that our fundraising income will be halfed this year (by approximately €400k) as a result of COVID-19. We are asking supporters of our work to please highlight the importance of neurological charities like Epilepsy Ireland through the hashtag #SAVEMCHARITY.
Your can read more about World Brain Day here and we look forward to seeing you share your expriences over the coming weeks.
