Our community epilepsy specialist nurse Sinead Murphy operates a helpline for any questions you may have about your epilepsy. This service is available for adults with epilepsy, their families and carers.

Epilepsy Ireland's transitional care information & advice line

Yvonne has recently returned to this role after recently being seconded by the HSE during the months of August, September, October and November 2018 to work with the Valproate response team and the Patient Support Liaison Service which has been set up to provide initial support and information to people who may have been affected by past exposure to valproate.​ ​

Epilepsy Ireland's transitional care information & advice line with our specialist nurse, Yvonne Owen (01 4554133) is open every Monday from 2pm-5pm. 

The service provides epilepsy advice and support and can signpost people to appropriate services. If there is a personal health concern, you may be redirected to your GP or local epilepsy team for specific individualised advice and care.

Teenagers, young adults with epilepsy, parents of adolescents with epilepsy, carers, healthcare workers looking after adolescents with epilepsy and the general public interested In the condition.

The advice line is a private and confidential way to discuss concerns. There is an exception to confidentiality: if you are under 18 and there is a issue that arises from the call that is a concern to your safety or someone else under 18 we may have to inform your parent or relevant guardian.
