Brain Awareness Week Events

As a proud member of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI),Epilepsy Ireland alongside all other members of the NAI will be supporting Brain Awareness Week which is now less than two weeks away.

There are over 800,000 people living with a neurological condition in Ireland - 40,000 of whom have epilepsy. Brain Awareness Week aims to promote greater awareness and understanding of the brain and neurological conditions whilst also highlighting the need for more investment in services, research and prevention.

Epilepsy Ireland provide events and services for people with epilepsy, their families and their commmunities year round. We have a number of events/services coinciding with Brain Awareness Week which we have listed below:

Should you wish to attend any of these events, please get in touch, or indeed, if we can be of any further assistance to you, please get in touch with your local community resource officer.

Many of our members, volunteers, supporters and followers will be aware of a wide ranging survey which was conducted by the NAI towards the end of the 2019 which we shared on our social media channels. As part of Brain Awareness Week, the findings of this survey will be revealed and we will share same on our website and social channels.

In the meantime, you can show your support for Brain Awareness Week by following the NAI on Twitter & Facebook and by using the hashtags #loveyourbrain2020 and #brainawarenessweek2020.

Further details on Brain Awareness Week and the goals of the campaign can be found on the dedicated loveyourbrain website here.
