Dr Andrea Higgins - Senior Neuropsychologist in Bloomfield Hospital and Health Services, Dublin.
Dr. Higgins joined Bloomfield in 2013 from the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to this she held the role of Clinical Psychologist in St. John of God Hospitaller Services. She also currently holds the role of Adjunct Lecturer in University College Dublin and is a member of the European Huntington's Disease Network working groups.
She has a number of specialist interests in the context of neurological disease, specifically in Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, the dementia's and in imaging and neurosurgical treatment; she has provided clinical services and completed research across these populations and approaches.
Presentation topic: Strategies to manage cognitive and memory issues with Epilepsy - Dr. Higgins will review the cognitive and memory issues that can arise in Epilepsy and the means of managing these issues.
