Get Involved

We can all play a part in raising awareness of epilepsy. You can be a TEAM Player this International Epilepsy Day by encouraging more people to find out just a little more about Ireland's most common neurological condition. Here are some things you can do.

In the Media

The simplest way you can get involved in helping raise awareness of epilepsy is to simply TALK ABOUT IT. Being open about epilepsy helps to debunk the myths and misunderstandings. So if you have epilepsy, talk about it. If you know someone with epilepsy, ask them about it!

Our thanks to everyone who has been involved with the International Epilepsy Day campaign in 2015. In particular, thanks to Ireland Rugby Coach Joe Schmidt, 2FM's Rick O'Shea; Tony & all the team at HAVAS; Ciara at Vizeum; Aidan and crew from Reelgood Productions; the development team at Hewlett Packard; Brenda and the Saddle Up for Epilepsy organising committee; all the volunteers on the Epilepsy Ireland Awareness Committee – Cathy, Eoin, Audrey, Rachel, and Carol. A special thanks to all the volunteers around the country who contributed to Speakers Corner or who took part as a media volunteer. Your help is very much appreciated.
