Epilepsy Ireland is the national organisation supporting and representing the 37,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland. Established in 1966, the charity is committed to working for, and to meeting the needs of everyone with epilepsy in Ireland and their families and carers. Our vision is to achieve a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. Through our head office in Dublin and our nine regional locations, we provide a range support services including one-to-one support, outreach services, nurse-led helplines, local and online support groups, educational and training programmes, group-based self-management programmes and a variety of seminars, events and publications. We are also actively involved in raising public awareness of epilepsy and supporting Irish research into the condition.

The Role

Epilepsy Ireland currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager a key member of the Head Office Management team in Epilepsy Ireland and is responsible for all aspects of the organisation's financial management and deliverables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position involves tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, monthly management accounts, year-end audit preparation and the support of budgeting and forecasting activities. The Finance Manager will report directly to the CEO of Epilepsy Ireland.

Terms and Location:

The post is a full-time, permanent contract subject to a probation period of six months.

The role is based at Epilepsy Ireland's head office at 249 Crumlin Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12, D12 RW92. 

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to go through the Garda Vetting Process with the National Vetting Bureau.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
