See This Here Boy
by Eddie Battersby

See This Here Boy is the autobiography of Meath businessman Eddie Battersby. Eddie's story is one of triumph over adversity and disproves the theory that the good guys finish last.

In December 2003, Eddie shook hands on a deal at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin. He then took the bus home to Ashbourne, his €5 return ticket in his pocket alongside an agreement to sell Eddie's Hardware, the business he had built up from scratch, for €14 million.

Five years on, the highly esteemed Drogheda man has written his compelling story, See This Here, Boy, and is giving all proceeds to three charities: Brainwave The Irish Epilepsy Association; The Irish Heart Foundation and IASBAH.

"I chose Brainwave because my sister-in-law died suddenly at 29 years-old from epilepsy", says Eddie. "I want any money I make from the book to go to a good cause, and these three charities are very worthy ones".

Ireland International Rules Manager Sean Boylan launched the book in the Marriott Hotel, Ashbourne, on November 27th last at an event attended by over 400 people.

Sean said "Eddie's an earthy man. His book is heart-warming, funny, informative and moving, all in one. This is a story readers of Eddie's era and beyond will readily identify with and enjoy.

Many thanks to Eddie for thinking of us.

The book can be bought online for €20 at Eddie's website, www.eddiebattersby.com
