Regular visitors to epilepsy.ie will be aware of the National Epilepsy Care Programme, set up by the HSE in 2010 under the direction of the office of Clinical Strategy and Programmes.

The National Epilepsy Care Programme, led by Dr Colin Doherty, Consultant Neurologist at St James's Hospital has been charged with addressing the historic deficiencies in epilepsy care in Ireland through a comprehensive change programme that delivers care from cradle to grave in epilepsy.

The programme has developed a Draft National Epilepsy Model of Care document and is now seeking feedback from the public on this draft document. The consultation period runs until May 30th 2012 at 5pm. Every submission received will be considered and will inform the development of the final Epilepsy Model of Care document.

The document can be downloaded below.

Your feedback can be submitted by emailing info@epilepsy.ie or through the HSE website.
