'Epilepsy Ireland's new transitional care information advice line' image

Epilepsy Ireland is delighted to announce our new transitional care information advice line with our specialist nurse, Yvonne Owen. The teenage advice line (01 4554133) commences on October 17th and every Monday from 2pm-5pm.

The aim of the phone line is to provide generic epilepsy advice and support and to signpost people to appropriate services. If there is a personal health concern you may be redirected to your GP or local epilepsy team for specific individualised advice and care.

Suitable for:

Teenagers, young adults with epilepsy, parents of adolescents with epilepsy, carers, healthcare workers looking after adolescent with epilepsy and the general public interested In the condition.

  • Driving independence
  • Signposting to appropriate service
  • Concerns about going to adult healthcare
  • Access to healthcare services
  • Access to supports
  • Advice on medication

The advice line is a private and confidential way to discuss concerns. There is an exception to confidentiality: if you are under 18 and there is a issue that arises from the call that is a concern to your safety or someone else under 18 we may have to inform your parent or relevant guardian.
